Is the sports car a pointless excercise these days or can driving still be fun in 21st century suburbia?

Okay, there's no prize for guessing what an obsessive petrolhead such as I will conclude, but for some people this is still a matter of debate. I set out to prove them wrong and all within easy commuting reach of the largest city in the UK.
